Just next to Lombok where Hotel Villa Ombak is located, there is an island well known of its Dragon. It is Sumbawa that has a greater landmass than Lombok and Bali. Other dive spot and island attraction near Lombok and the Gili Islands, is Labuan Bajo which is located at the far west coast of the West Manggarai regency for Flores. This is the largest regency and a home to many spectacular sights and adventure possibilities. It is important to remember that it is this particular regency that suffers more severely than the rest of Flores from the extended dry season period. Komodo National Park encompasses a lot of water and islands west of Labuanbajo. On The East of Bali lies the chain of islands known as the Nusa Tenggara, comprising Sumbawa, Sumba, Flores, Timor and Lombok. Sumbawa Island is in the province of West Nusa Tenggara and is located east of Lombok. Sumbawa in a way belongs more to East Nusa Tenggara than it does to West Nusa Tenggara and the island has four regencies and they are Sumbawa Barat, Sumbawa Besar, Dompu, and Bima. Sumbawa lies within the Pacific Ring of Fire and is a mountainous island with deep ridges and valleys and is also home to the volcano, Tambora.
